SU GRIERSON graduated Masters of Fine Art from Glasgow School of Art in 1995
having previously received a BA (hons) first class at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee.
Since graduation her exhibitions and residencies have been in the UK, Australia,
New Zealand, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Japan and Lithuania, creating installations
of video and sound with digital images. In 2005 she exhibited 'Slice' at Yokohama Art Museum
in Japan. Su curated the international exhibition 'Touch Down' which was shown at Galleri 54
Gothenberg and jointly curated the video exhibition 'Invisible Fields' with Sara Felton,
exhibiting 12 Scottish artists in Estonia, Japan and Scottish venues. As organiser of
Look-Look she brings international artists to Scotland to promote connections with Scottish artists.
Su Grierson was President of the Scottish Artists Union between 2004-07, and is currently
Chair of Perthshire Visual Arts Forum. Having established her studio and project space in
Perthshire, Su is committed to making contemporary international art happen in rural locations. |
